So what do you guys think about a Margarito VS De La Hoya fight??

Do u think it will happen, and what are your views opinions, conclusions of what might and could happen?

I don't think it will happen.

Oscar De La Hoya is looking for a great closing show for retirement.  I think he's gonna play it safe and take on Manny Pacquiao.

A lot of people find it stupid and unbelievable, but it makes the most sense to me at this point.  Cotto ruled himself out, and Margarito is to dangerous.  Mayweather has retired, and Hatton is busy for a fight with Malinaggi.  Trinidad won't fight below 164 lbs.

There's already been talks between Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions between the possible fight, and both fighters have a big draw of fans.  Manny's willing to move up and fight at a 147 lbs. limit, while it's the lowest Oscar will go down.  

It will be the current top pound 4 pound fighter against the former top p4p fighter.  Everyone will see if Manny deserves to be a legend, while a lot of Mexicans want to see him get put down by a Mexican American fighter.

Expect this fight to happen unless Mayweather comes out of retirement.

If Margarito vs. De La Hoya takes place, the outcome will be the same as De La Hoya vs. JC Chavez.  Except this time, Oscar will be Chavez.  Margarito would trap Oscar and punish him until the ref stops the fight.

Oscar is not the same as he once was.  At his current condition, a fight with Margarito would be suicidal.

I would love too see it happen, one side tells me that oscar wants no part of margarito, but how do you think oscar will look after margarito made it clear he wants to fight him and put on a battle for mexicans???Thats the only thing that could force oscar to fight here.  OK this fight i think would be a mismatch, oscar is not as fast as cotto, and dosent hit nearly as hard even tho it wouldnt matter against margarito.  Oscar would have to jab, jab, jab in this fight and maybe it would work for the first couple round and keep margarito at bay, but in the late round it could be a death sentence.  De la hoya is always known to run out of steam in the second half of the fight, well thats when margarito is just getting started and when he starts smolkin'.  Margarito would put relentless pressure on de la hoya, i think he would ko him with a classic left hook to the body, or with a left uppercut followed with a right hand.  MArgarito is tough as nails and oscar gettin in the ring with him is very risky, but if he dosent he would be considered in the group of "the margarito ducking club", and i dont think he would want that on his record being a great mexican champion

I don't that will be happening, Oscar is close to retirement anyways. But if it did occur, hypothetically, I'd probably say that Antonio Margarito would win. The reason being that he has a wicked Left Body Hook punch that he uses often on opponents. Remember how Oscar was K.O'd by Bernard Hopkins by that Left Body Hook? Margarito would use that shot earlier, unlike Bernard Hopkins, and Oscar would be down for the count. There is nothing that hurts more, supposedly, that a body shot, mainly because it slows you down.

I don't like the thought of them fighting & yes it's because they're both Mexican.  I don't know whose side i'd pick, probably Oscar...Margarito will win though.
