So what do you say when you finally found your half sisters information that you have never met?

We share a father, however she is older than I am, and has lost touch with our father since she was 12 when her and her mother moved away to AZ 30 years ago. What do you say in a letter to someone you have never met. I do not want to offend her or cause her any unwanted memories to arise.

Write how you would like to keep in touch with her and if she would be interested. Keep the letter based on your personal details such as hobbies, employment. marital status, children and if so (ages and info regarding them) ask her what are her interests?
