So what do you think about younger girls wearing makeup?

I started wearing a tiny bit of makeup when i was 12. i used a great moisturizer and some black eyeliner. A little eyeshadow sometimes. My lashes are already pretty long so i never really wear mascara. But i don't know. i never wore foundation at that age because my face wasn't flawed really. i was mature for my age and thought it'd be fine.

What do you think about younger girls wearing makeup? I think that early 11 (as in just turned) and under is too young. They don't need it. But if you feel like you do, and you feel you're old enough-honestly- then i think its fine. not to much, but a little.

okiiee there is nothing wrong wiv wearing makup i am 15 and wear makeup ... full face but its not ott it looks natural the only reason i wear it is becausse naturaly i am verry verry pale and have got a tan from going on holiday all the time and onlii get tanned on my body not mii face and i would look weird walkin round wiv a brown body and a pale white face! soo makeup is my onlii option ... =]

i think people should be able to decide what age to start wearing makeup, i dont care if your 5 as long as it is appropriate for your age and your parents dont mind it doesnt really matter what age...my sister is 11 (but really mature for her age)

and she wears makeup(eyeliner,mascara, and foundation)

and everybody in her grade does also...

Make-up is just a way of being a girl and looking pretty.....i dont get why all these people say its sooooo bad!! Didnt wear make-up til they were 14 and 16?!?!!? C'mon, THATS unreasonable! I'm almost 13  and i wear a little bit of brown and gold eyeshadow, some eyeliner, and one coat of brown mascara. Theres nothing wrong with it.

My mother would not let me wear make up until I was 16. I started with blush and mascara. I`m 45 now and I never wear it..hahaha! I really don`t need it. People say I look 32. So I think I will keep up my no makeup look. I think your too young. I have never seen you but I`m pretty positive at 11 you don't need it. If you do decide to wear it use a mineral based makeup like Bare minerals. I think the kit is about $60. Its ok to buy cheap things but not for your skin,hair,and what you eat. remember that!!

People 13 & under shouldn't be wearing any make-up.  they should concentrate in keeping their skin clean.  The only exception is they have bad acne at 13 & it affects their self - confidence.

Don't get me wrong , I do enjoy make-up .  Mum only allowed at 17, but at 15 , I was playing around with my aunt's Lancome mascara & grandma's eyeliner.

I personally think it all counts on the person, the personality, the occasion, and the type of make-up.  There are certain circumstances where it's just fine for younger girls to wear a little bit of make-up; whether it's a wedding, fancy dinner, or just around the house to have fun.  It's not a big deal.  I feel it's a little inappropriate when they start going overboard, or wearing it ALL the time.

Twelve is way too young for black eyeliner.  Way too young.  I say no makeup other than lip gloss until 14, and even then, not black eyeliner.

I was just talking to my mom about this earlier today. I think that girls shouldn't wear make-up until about age 13. What purpose do they need to wear make-up at twelve? It's preposterous to hear those stories about 11 year old girls wearing foundation, cover-up, lipstick, blush, etc. If ANYTHING, girls under 13 could wear lipgloss and a LITTLE bit of eyeshadow, but anything past that is unreasonable. Most girls under the age of 13 really don't have an idea of what they're doing with the make-up, and often put on WAY too much, making it look like they have raccoon eyes, or like they look like Barbie dolls.

My mom and I both agreed that allowing your kids to wear make-up at a younger age shows irresponsibility in a parent, as well as bad judgment. There's no purpose for it; they don't need to be looking s**y, and youthful skin is already pretty enough on its own.

I personally think girls that young don't need makeup at all ...

They are still young and wearing makeup just makes them look premature. Especially if a young girl who doesn't know how to wear makeup probably and put on a lot, ending up looking made-up.

Maturity plays a huge factor in this of course, but there is such a thing as too young. Some girls feel they should wear makeup because a lot of others do too. It seems like it's kind of a self-confidence problem.

im somewhere in those ages and i only wear some foundation because i have very fair skin and it gets very red in some parts when i like scracth or even just touch my face so i just even it out and i use bare minrals and try to over do so it still looks like my natural color and so you could still see my freckles and it doesnt look like i caked it on but i have to wait until at least 13 to wear eyeliner mascara etc.

i think girls shouldnt wear makeup until 14. lipgloss maybe at 12 but thats because there are moisturizers in it. otherwise. no way.

it truly depends on the person...

i would say 15 is a good age to start experimenting with makeup..

i'm 15 and all i wear is eyeliner and lipgloss... my parents are strict..

they say they would let me wear makeup when i'm 21... LoL..
