  1. What symbol? Between eyebrows or on head? Symbol between eyebrows called bindi. Red bindi for married women and black bindi for single women. Black bindi believed can keep evil spirits away.

    Red symbol on head called sindoor. Only married women wear it. Sindoor is symbol of  husband protection to his wife. If a husband dies, his wife erase the sindoor from her hair.
