If I could just lend an outside view, I think both Celtic and Rangers build themselves upon these so-called "rejects" of higher class leagues...remember that the SPL isn't the highest quality league out there so why would Celtic want to be paying ridiculous wages to players like Seedorf when they could just as easily win the league with less demanding players? Rangers haven't made any decent signings so why should Celtic bother? They're better enough already.

Kewell was one thankfully that wasn't followed up on. Seedorf, I would quite happily have had him at Paradise. The first man to win the big cup with three different clubs, not bad at all.

As to Maloney being an EPL reject, fair enough, but as others have pointed out, Rangers aren't shy in that department either.

As not the solution pointed out, Scottish clubs HAVE to make these kind of buys as the vast majority of the ones we want go to the EPL for cash.

I mean Wigan offering £40,000 a week and nothing else goes to show that the ambition of many players is a big bank account.
