  1. This would be the end of the Republican Party.  The election would come down to Obama vs. Nader.

  2. Only time will tell

  3. With all the hot air at that convention, the hurricane hasnt got a chance. It will loose, unless it does us all a favor and blows them all away.

  4. It will help McCain and especially Sarah who knows nothing about what is going on.

  5. Read about it?  No thanks.

With any luck they will just skip over it....if it's anything like McCains life story it will be a real yawner....

I get a chuckle at people who still bring up Minnesota....I had 32 replies saying THERES NO HURRICANE HEADING FOR MINNESOTA....

Duh...what does it matter who misses it?  Frankly McCain is heading for high and dry grounds make no mistake about it...good excuse however....

Regretfully we might miss out on some new BUSHISMS.

  12. He spoke about this earlier:

“It just wouldn’t be appropriate to have a festive occasion while a near tragedy or a terrible challenge is presented in the form of a natural disaster,” Mr. McCain told Fox News Sunday in an interview to be broadcast tomorrow morning.

The convention is supposed to open Monday, when President George W. Bush and Vice President d**k Cheney are scheduled to speak, and to close Thursday night after Mr. McCain accepts the nomination.

  16. Put it this way - legally, they cannot *not* hold it at some point.  If they have to, the official business may be postponed a few days even if it means skipping the showy parts.

Somehow I think you'd have something snarky and mean spirited to say no matter what they decide to do...
