  1. They really don't know what to say...and as another answer said, everyone is trying to fit in, and won't tell the cool kids anything, even if they sound stupid.

I'm sure there are some genuinely funny and interesting students out there though, and these few will probably be outspoken and/or well spoken for the rest of their lives.

  2. This happens in school because everyone's the same age and everyone is incredibly insecure. They're scared to death to be themselves because they so desperately want to fit in.

  3. Seems to be a fact of life in school. And sometimes, the unpopular ones want so badly to fit in, they say silly things due to trying too hard or let the populars talk them into doing things they would never do otherwise.   I suppose it's just the uniqueness of people; some have more confidence, some are simply more mature, sometimes it's just due to a more physically appealing look.

  4. Honestly that is me right now. I try so hard to be normal but if I say or do things everyone else does it is "weird" and not normal for me so i get made fun of. I guess that some one always has to get picked on because teenagers are so insecure of them self so they pick on some one else to make them feel better.

  5. sometimes popular people are just big jerks and use that to get people's attention.
