make sure you make it clear you intend to leave the US.... if they even think you will stay longer, they will turn you around and send you home

To obtain a tourist visa, you must purchase a round-trip plane ticket and prove you have sufficient funds for all the "typical tourist" expenses: hotels, restaurant meals, sightseeing, etc.  You should know exactly where in the US you are going to do what (e.g. Orlando for DisneyWorld, and city for whatever).  

You also need proof that you intend to return home.  The RT plane ticket; a letter from your employer stating how long you have worked there, how much accrued vacation time you have, and your scheduled vacation dates; proof of family obligations or property ownership or something that would compel you to return to Nigeria.

You will have a tough time as a citizen of Nigeria since Nigeria is renowned as the world's No.1 source of fraud, false docs, etc.  You will get a thorough grilling and docs are inspected carefully.  If you apply from a country other than Nigeria, you will get more thorough scrutiny.
