I just recently turned of age, and my friends birthday is tomorrow (Shes been legal for 3 years now so.. its not new to her) but it is to me.. and im going to feel so stupid not knowing what type of drinks they usually serve.

It's a local pub.. not even sure how a pub is different then a bar.. more classy im guessing?

On the site of the pub it states "We serve all popular cocktails and shooters from our fully stocked back bar." ..

I've only ever had strawberry margaritas, and mango daquaris (I know I spelled that wrong)...

Do they sell either of those at pubs? and, if not, what types of cocktails are 'popular'

I've very sensative to the taste of alchohal, so it has to be light tasting otherwise I have trouble swollowing it

  1. Sweet drinks are not really popular, it's been a long time since people really go into a bar/pub and order these kind of things. Probably the best sweet drink that is ordered is some kind of sweet Margarita,  like a pomegranate Margarita.

You can always order a glass of wine as a safe bet. Also, a bloody Mary is a safe bet, you don't really taste the booze.

Also rember, just because you have turned of age doesn't mean you have to drink.  It's nice that you have the ability to order a drink but you can still go in and order a virgin drink or a soda.  I don't drink and don't feel funny ordering a diet soda and I'm way past the age of being able to order anything.   Be an individual.

  2. If they have a fully stocked bar you should be able to get the drinks you are used to. You also might like a Pina Colada, which is coconut, pineapple and rum.  The nice thing about fruit based drinks is when you have had your limit you can always ask for a "virgin" and no one will know there is no alcohol.
