The D-Back are leading by one and a half games going into today and have failed to put the .500 Dodgers away for over a month now. The Dodgers on the other hand, with the aquisitions of Manny Ramirez, (who is just raking the ball right now) and Casey Blake, and with Brad Penny coming back from the DL tonight to pitch, and Nomar Garciaparra returning next week as well, do the Dodgers have it? Or do D-Backs who have been healthy all season win the weak division?

  1. I think the D-backs will win that awful conference. Dodgers got Manny but he's just one player. Unless he hit homeruns everytime he step on to the plate, no way they can win that much. D-backs got better pitchin than dodgers.

  2. Dodgers have it.

  3. I still say D-backs, i know their offense needs work I think they can get there. Of course Manny is helping the Dodgers very much and they are just cruising right now but i dunno..

  4. i think that the dodgers will take it, manny is a monster. But ever since the dodgers have gotten the trades the D-Backs are playing better. Maybe they feel they didnt have to have an extra bat in the lineup to win.

  5. I picked the Dodgers pre-season and I'm sticking to it.  Man for man I think they still have to best team in the division.

  6. giants

  7. I will say that Manny gives them the added punch to edge out the Diamondbacks.

  8. i think the dodgers are going to sneak up from behind and steal this division...manny has been a boon to the offense already, and i think the diamondbacks' youth is going to end up hurting them down the stretch against a more veteran dodger squad

  9. Seems like its between the dodgers and d-backs. Im gonna say the dodgers because their pitching is getting better even with saito gone. And their offense if getting better too with manny there. So i think the dodgers.

  10. Dodgers baby.

  11. Dodgers.

Arizona might be one of the dumbest teams. Heres Why.

Last year they hit .251 as a team 27th out of 30. Their pitching was really good.

So this off season instead of going after Miguel Cabrera or a hitter, they get another pitcher. Dan Haren.

I believe pitching wins, but you have to have a mediocre offense. Arizona can't hit.

  12. I'd say the Dodgers, i don't think the D-Backs have any offense.

  13. DBacks

  14. The Dbacks have better pitching than the Dodgers?!  What?!  So I guess two good pitchers now count for the whole team?

The Dodgers bullpen DESTROYS the Dbacks,' and bullpens are nearly as, if not more, important than starting rotation.

Plus, the Dbacks' offense is EVEN WORSE than the Dodgers,' and THAT'S saying something.  They only have TWO players in their starting lineup who are batting over .300.

Dodger's are going to breeze through this division, especially when we get healthy here in a few weeks with Penny (tonight), Furcall (next month), and Saito.

  15. Thats a tricky one man. The D'backs have been slowly but surely fizzling out for the past couple of months and i think they are going to keep doing so for the rest of the season. The Dodgers have a hot bat in Ramirez and I think they will win a close one. Some say the Rockies have a chance and although they're surging they just won't quite make it.

  16. Manny and the injured Dodgers will come back and get over the hump and win the NL West.

  17. I'm going with the D-Backs. They have the better pitching and pitching always wins. They should go after Dunn to make them more of a threat on offense.
