  1. i think canaanites and philistines are the people in canaan(the promise land) where the israelites travelled.....

The Canaanites as distinguished from the Amalekites, the Anakim, and the Rephaim, were "dwellers in the lowlands the great plains and valleys, the richest and most important parts of Palestine.

  2. People that Paul wrote letters to.

  3. cannanites is another term for the phoenicians. it is still unclear on the ethnicity of the philistines. some say they were from crete while others suggest cyprus. there is a strong possiblity they were the mycenaens which evident in their aegean-style armor and helmets. it is also a possibility that they were carians, a poorly-known people from the west anatolian coast who were known as the pirates of that region. the helmets so familiar with the philistines are comparable to the ones the carians wore. there needs to be a better anaylsis of philistine writing and deciphering to compare them with these peoples. it is possible that the philistines were made up from both groups of people, but it is clear that their origins are in the aegean.
