I see it as an incredibly dangerous thing to censor accurate information and truthful answers, because that just leaves the lies and the dis - information for people to read, is it time to start fighting back?

  1. YA is not the place for political truths, thats become very apparent while Ive been here, its designed for teens to ask about their school homework and thats about it. You cant expect kids to know about the differences between lefties and warmongers, theyre all trained to look to authority as the truth, rather than seeking truth as the only real authority. Some one needs to start up a server just like this where adults can discuss world events and political and social issues, a site where trolls are instantly electrocuted thru the internet LOL!!!!

  2. I have given many answers in opposition to many of our Foreign and Domestic policies including Iraq. I have never mentioned 9-11 though except to say that it shouldve been prevented with the information that we had on the hijackers at the time . And to say Iraq was and is not the answer to fighting terrorism. I mean our current policy is creating more terrorists than we eliminate. How is that a good thing?

I havent had an answer deleted for any of these things in a couple of months at least. If some one wants to be immature thats there call. 10 pts? I can get it back and I know if my answer got under someones skin enough that they report it when no rules have been violated than I know I left a good answer.

  3. I live in Australia and I'm very interested in hearing what you think of the present situation in Iraq?

And what do you think about the information that has just come to light about the Bin ladens connections in the assassination of Pakistans own  Benazi Bhutto?

Not to mention the trend of late,  sending the mentally handicapped in as human bombs?

  4. ...hmmm dont know what your talking about mabye our friends at Homeland security can give you something to calm down bwahahhahaha

  5. Just wanted to clear something up for the person who posted "so much for the first amendment" - the Bill of Rights, and thus the First Amendment, does not apply to private companies, only to the government.  Yahoo is not owned by the government, and may thus censor whatever it pleases, so long as it complies with current anti-discrimination legislation.

As for the actual question - I haven't seen these answers myself, so I can't form a fair opinion.  If they involve conspiracy theories, then the answer is that they are not actually truthful.  If they are legitimate, perhaps someone is angered by what they percieve to be an anti-American sentiment.

It is indeed dangerous to censor accurate information and truthful answers in most cases (I can spin extreme examples of truthfully answering terrorists when they ask how to get around security systems, or whatever, but as a rule your statement is true).  The issue comes in the definitions of "accurate" and "truthful."  Based on (admittedly little) empirical evidence, I would opine that the "zapped" information did indeed involve conspiracy theories, and is therefore not accurate or truthful.  Again, however, I have not seen these "zapped" answers, and must therefore base my opinions on my own observations.

  6. The more rocks you look under, the ickier it gets.

See below links for evidence of incorrect vote counting in this election - though it is not widespread, there is something wrong with those Diebold machines at least some of the time, and or the computerized registration records. The county I live in uses paper ballots because they don't want these problems - so I was told by the volunteer, last time I voted. Write your city council or local registrar of voters if this is a concern to you, locally.

On the clarityelections.com link below, one precinct (see D0001 in the list, Broward) in Florida was reporting 110% turnout - more votes counted than voters registered. A number of things could explain this, one of them being nonregistered people being allowed  to vote, the machines counting votes incorrectly, or the registration totals being incorrect. The BostonNow link discusses the problem that occurred in New Hampshire. The other link reports on people not being allowed to vote in the primaries in Calif even when they are registered.

Seems to be a small # of cases, but it does make you wonder. I know this is a Q&A about censorship, not voter fraud, but they are related problems.

  7. I have seen that from time to time too.  Yahoo is an American company, so I guess it fits.  Most people see it as a rant and there are a lot of people who are blindly pro-USA.  You can have national pride, but blind belief is dangerous.  Most people don't want to look past what is printed on the front page of their paper.

  8. I have had alot of my questions and answers deleted too, so much for the 1st Ammendment.

Normally i dont offend people, but i do like to get the truth across.

  9. Maybe you're being insensitive, inciting, inflammatory or offensive ...

  10. Ive seen more than 6 top contributors dissappear off YA over the last day or 2, they all had answered 911 questions and questions on Iraq, all had excellent links that all proved profiteering by at least a hundred US corporations in Iraq, KBR was one of them and theyve made billions so far from Iraq. I went to look for the links again today and the answerers accounts have been deleted, I know now that if there are people out there who go to so much trouble to delete truthful answers then theyre worried about something.

  11. what the h**l is YA and its probably the aliens with the zapp guns zapping it off YA is that abbreviation for your a s s?
