the question posed to Paul by a random FAN was " Do you think Kobe is the best?" to which Paul responded the same way ANY athlete would...to compete you HAVE TO have this mindset...if you have never been in this position it's understandable that it seems cocky TO YOU, but it the NORM...

what this means to those who can't understand or WON'T understand - you get the ear of ANY good-to-great professional athlete and ask him if he thinks someones better than him...the BEST ones 99-out-of-100 always think THEY are the best...

skillfully, no he isnt. but he is a better team player i believe, the show isnt always about him like it is for kobe. plus he has more class than kobe does. (eg. not kicking the ball into the crowd after missing a free throw)

hes just stupid. he is NO WAY better than kobe. i mean pierce just got his ring and it took 2 other FRANCHISE players 2 help him get it. if anything it should have been garnett who said hes better than kobe cuz garnett is WAY better than pierce.

kobe took his team 2 the playoffs by himself. pierce needed future hall of famer garnett and the face of seattle 2 get past the 1st round of the playoffs.
