does that means we no longer have to pay aditional for HD channels ? ; its all programing gonna be in HD ? ; are we getting new set top boxes from our cable provider ?.......ha ???

Not all channels are going to be HD.  At least not for a few more years.  If you don't already have a digital cable box, you should get a new one from the cable company.  And yes, at least for the time being, you will still have to pay for HD channels that you get from your cable company.
