  1. youll prolly like it at first then youll see that it sucks and when your three years are  up and you get out, if you choose to, youll move on with your life find a happy spot and then they will recall you and youll hate life.

  2. If you are in the DEP you are not contracted until you go back to the MEPS station and sign the paperwork.

  3. My brother said it gave him a lot in his life and he wouldn't change it. But he's getting ready to get out and get on with his career in law enforcement. He was stationed at one time at Ft. Jackson too.

Thanks for joining up and your service to the country

  4. It depends on if you are good at what you do people will leave you alone and not be ***holes to you. My husband joined as infantry and is now 11B and once you get out of basic and get to your duty station its just like any job you go to work do your job and then go home. And be glad you are going to relaxin Jackson, my husband went to OSUT at Sand Hill Fort Benning. At least you are a wheel mechanic and don't have to go through infantry school. Best of luck and God Bless.

  5. i think you will enjoy it, have fun and learn as much as you can, 3 years isnt a lot of time!

  6. If that's the will of your faith, then a good feeling might come to you

  7. yeah i am glad you did that anyone who serves our counrty is amazing i respect you man

  8. Sounds like you got a pretty nice bonus.  3 years will fly by and you should enjoy your job (assuming you already like working on cars).

  9. my husband loves his job but it not for everyone!

  10. yes, if you did it to serve your nation and better yourself.

    good luck.

  11. Yes. You won't regret it.  You may regret the decision your first week in basic but don't let that bring you down it's worth it in the end when everyone is watching you graduate in those good looking dress greens and you can finally call yourself a US Soldier.

  12. suck it up and drive on....

  13. You wil find out in boot camp.

  14. Good luck, the experience you get in the Army will put you at a huge advantage after you get out.

  15. How should we know? You might or might not like your job, time will tell. You're locked in the contract so it's too late to regret... if it turns out you hate the job, well, sucks to be you mate, sucks to be you.

  16. Worst case possible is you are like normal people with a job you hate. but with the added bonus of getting military training. That dosn't sound to bad.

  17. If you think you are right. then you are right. If you think you are wrong.. Then you are wrong.. If other people say otherwise, think about it and then decide it on your own. No one can say this is right/wrong in your life, but you.
