I haven't read it, nor am I going to. I was just curious to see how you would've preferred the story to end.

  1. I was pretty happy with the book, actually. I don't think there needed to be any more action. I loved the ending, and I also enjoyed all the other vampires who came to the Cullens' aid. I thought they were all pretty interesting, especially Zafrina.

My favorite part had to be the wedding. It was so sweet! It sounded beautiful and perfectly romantic.

The thing that did annoy me, however, was that once Bella was pregnant, it was as though she really didn't care as much about Edward. I'm an Edward fan, and maybe I'm the only one who thinks that. It just seemed like Bella's love for Edward weaked a bit, while his love for her remained as strong as ever.

I kind of feel like there wasn't as much magic between Bella & Edward as there was in Twilight and Eclipse. Obviously, I mean this for after the honeymoon. I'm currently rereading Twilight, and I found that they show their love for each other in ways other than kissing & s*x. They actually tell each other how much they love each other. My favorite line from Edward was from this book, "If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I'm not ashamed of it." I just felt like there wasn't as much of that in Breaking Dawn.

Alright, I'm done rambling. Breaking Dawn was a great book overall, but it had its flaws. But hey, what book doesnt?

  2. it was just perfect!

  3. i actually liked breaking dawn (:

  4. i liked the way it ended, though a fight with the volturi would've been quite eventful.  i really did start thinking that the cullens were going to inadvertently become the new 'volturi' but meh i really liked the book.

i also like the fact that everyone had a happy ending!

except for one, which is why i'm hoping she does write a book on leah's story.

  5. It should have ended with Twilight.

  6. I would have preferred them to FIGHT the Volturi. And destroy them too =D

  7. A fight of course, and maybe i would've changed the fact that Bella had baby, and even better change the fact that Jacob imprinted on the baby. Breaking dawn should of been more like twilight, new moon and eclipse. Anyways i still loved the book! =]

  8. I definitely think that Meyer had a great thing going for Breaking Dawn at the end of Eclipse. She had a difficult issue pressing Bella and the Cullens that she should have elaborated on. Bella was pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place at the end of Eclipse: On the one hand, she had to become a vampire so the Volturi wouldn't kill her and the Cullens, but doing so would break the treaty with the wolves, forcing them to kill her and the Cullens. On the other hand, she could opt to stay human for the sake of the wolves, but in doing so, she'd provoke the Volturi into killing her and the Cullens. There was pretty much no happy ending. She should have brought that out. Instead of ending it on good terms with the wolves, and with the Volturi backing away. I think that there should have been at least one fight. I think that some of the characters should have died (besides Irina). Even J.K. Rowling acknowledged that sometimes, you have to kill people off, if only to keep the story that much more realistic. I think that Bella shouldn't have gotten a happy ending both ways. From day one, it's always been Team Edward-vs.-Team Jacob. It shouldn't've ended with both teams winning and with Bella getting both of her boys.

I would've liked to see the Cullens come to an agreement with the wolves. Maybe explain their situation and get a pardon from the Quileute elders. I'm sure they would have understood their predicament. They wouldn't want Bella dead. There should have been a fight against the Volturi like there ALMOST was at the end, with the wolves, Amazons, Romanians, Egyptians, Irish, Nomads, Denalis and Cullens. I think that maybe she should have (as painful as this would have been) killed Alice, because she'd be the easiest to kill off properly (Alice could've had a vision of Jasper getting killed and saved him only to die herself.). I think that Edward and Bella should've died together, holding hands or something (Maybe Edward had already finished off Demetri--though he wouldn't really need to in this version, would he? oh well-- and gone to protect Bella from physical attacks, grasping her hands as she struggled to keep her sheilds going, and Felix or Jane or someone took them out.) It would've provided much more closure for the book, and made it that much more believeable (Well, as believeable as a vampire story can get).

I think that she had a great story going, and totally destroyed it.

  9. Oh, I was not a very happy person with Breaking Dawn.  I didn't like how the whole saga ended.  But I'm not the kind of person who can just let things go.  I brooded about it for a little bit, but then decided to write my own book-length ending.  If you want to see how I would have ended it, it's here.

I had to do it.  It's for my own piece of mind.

  10. I really liked the book

But I do wish there had been a fight

It was still very good though

  11. well i actually like the story A LOT

and it seems like i'm one of the only ones who thought so

  12. I read it at midnight and thought that I was so tired I dreamed reading it, because I found the book so shallow, obscure, and fanfiction-like. Instead of tying up loose ends or creating and solving conflict, random elements were thrown into the book for no real reason. Like the s*x! For more than two chapters, it droned on and on about the need for s*x.

For breaking dawn, I was only expecting a book that could match or surpass the rest of the series in content and writing. I was sadly dissapointed. I still like the other three books, but I don't think I can be called an obsessed fan of the series anymore.
