What is the most power i could run to these subs and not blow them?

I want a lot of bass and sq is a 600 watt amp going to produce that for me?

I read review on the subs and one person said he is using a 2000 watt hifonics amp to power the type r's, would that be alright to use because my friend has one to sell?

  1. Question (1):What is the most power i could run to these subs and not blow them?

Answer (1): The 10'' Type R's Are 500 Rms So The Max. You Can Give Them Is 500 Rms Nothing More.

Question (2):I want a lot of bass and sq is a 600 watt amp going to produce that for me?

Answer (2): No A 600 Watt Amp Will Not Cut It Not Even Close. One Type R Is 500 Rms So Since You Have 2 You Will Need A 1000 Rms Monoblock (1-Channel) Amp.

Here A Amp That Will Fully Power Your Subs & Give You The Best Performance! Its A Hifonics TXi 1008D & Its 1000 Rms @ 1 Ohm! Just What You Need. For Only:194.99

    Good Amp October 12, 2007

Review written by Vilayvanh from Jacksonville, FL

I bought this amp originally to push a Kicker L7 but im pushing 2 Rockford Fosgate T1 12's. This amp gives em a kick but I'm planning on buying another one so each sub gets 1000W at 1 ohm.

Answer (3):No It Wouldnt He Probaly Had The 12'' Type R's Models Because They Have 1000 Rms A Piece Making The Total 2000 Rms. But You Can Get That Amp Only If You Turn The Gain Down.

P.S: If You Buy The Amp I Recommended You Please Tell Them I Reffered You (lamchop_lilace@yahoo.com)

  2. Sure you could use that. I have the Alpine MRP-M850 powering two Type R's. Its only about 500 watts for both subs but it still pounds. The Hifonics is a cheaper brand but it would def. work.

    I recommend Alpine or Fosgate.
