Soaking Dried Fruit ???

Is it more beneficial to soak dried fruit in water for a few hours, before eating, because of its natural sugar content ?

  1. It's neither more nor less beneficial... you can eat them dried (which will absorb the water from your system), or you can soak them to eat them as reconstituted fruit... either way, they'll have the same nutritional value and same sugar content.

    The only preference I've ever heard of is taste (some like the taste of dried fruit, some don't) and convenience... it's more convenient to eat dried fruit on the go and it's really hard to reconstitute it while camping/driving/etc.


  2. Vodka would be the only liquid I would use.
