Soap door won't open during wash cycle

The soap door doesn't open to get the soap into the wash cycle. After the cycle completes the soap door is still closed, or it may be open but the soap packet is still in the dispenser.Soap dispenser won't open during wash cycle. Once the soap dispenser won't open, the dishwasher stops and all the LED lights blink on the display.
