Soccer Club - No coach, money back?

Soccer season already started early June. I was suppose to get a call a weak before my first game to pick up my uniform, but i didn't. The coach who had me on his/her list never called me or anything. for 4 weeks i was left un-notified and missed 4 games. I figured out what team number i was so i went to one of the games. Ended up that my team did have a coach at the beginning, but never bothered to show up after the 1st game. Now without the original coach, i can't get my uniform and if i don't have my uniform, i can't play because they don't have my number down (player number). We only have volunteer coach's who only "play the coach role" but don't acutally do anything, not even practices. They can't do anything to help me out because they don't have connections.

Should i call the head offiice of the club and ask for my money back?

I would.  Never pay for what you aren't going to receive.

It does not hurt to try, but do be surprised if the answer is not what you want. It seems you did not call the coach those first several weeks so perhaps the blame could be placed on you.
