  1. I bet you could find a coach who would love to have you to practice with the younger children.  It would give you exercise and practice and help the coach.

  2. Look for some homeschool coops around where go live. You might find a sports coop, but it all depends on where you live.

  3. our school system lets home schooled kids take PE or join sports teams even though they don't attend other classes.  ask your parents if they'd let you do that.

  4. play club ball (travel soccer) or you could simply organize your own little games, thats whhat i did one tim

dont forget that you can also coach, im 18 and i coached this past summer

  5. Look around for competitive or homeschool leagues in your area - my son plays baseball with a homeschool league against public and private school teams.

  6. Home schooling can be cruel and destructive. It can hurt your education and prevent you from taking part in activities in the real world that you might love. Your case is a perfect example of this. Why are your parents homeschooling you? Why are you ALLOWING it?

  7. Well, a kid in our area just worked with some adults to create a teenagers homeschool league. It's very popular, in its second year and they have managed to get into the competitions around here (i have no idea what that takes, there was an approval process that took some time)

Also, see if you can join church leagues, or any local community college teams to practice. If you're good enough, they'll let you play. I knew a teen homeschooler who played on the baseball team in our local community college. There are many many private groups, hang out on the weekends at the fields and see who's playing. In our town, they really love it when the kids come to watch and learn, and play.

  8. Okay, first, see if it would be okay to join the school's team (unfortunately, this has 3 hurdles: your parents, the school's rules and there may be a tryout process). Next, see if you can get a league for older kids started: maybe your community would raise the age or maybe one of your parents would coach (and, if *they* are the ones preventing you from joining the school team, they should really be willing to help you do this).

See if there is a public park you can use once a week and start running a weekly soccer practice or game (depending on how many people show up). You can have people of all ages play and advertise for people in the community center and public school (many kids who aren't good enough or don't have enough time for teams would love to play once a week).

If all this fails, get your friends together and play, maybe calling up the kids who were on your team when you were younger.

  9. Perhaps you could try a select or travel team.
