  1. Keep your eye on the player and try to predict their next move

  2. well if youre defending look at their torso. NOT at the ball or their feet! cause the ball or feet can go one way & then they go  the other. DONT defened with your legs spread apart. have a good defence stand. meaning have one foot in fornt of you & the other behide. with your hips & your upper body alined with what ever way you are going to push the offence of player.

if your going towards the goal & a defender has you trap. you can do a number of things. if their hips are turned right try to do a MOVE that YOUR GOOD at do that move to the left. so you are turning the direction of the ball to the left. if their hips are left do the same thing [change directions] but to your RIGHT! then EXPLOD off!  so you force the defender to HAVE to turn around to get to you.

  3. Do you mean when you are on or off the ball?

If on the ball, then let him go past you, as long as he doesn't take the ball!
