Soccer tryout?? help???!!??

OK, I'm interested in soccer and I really want to tryout for a varsity.... But i don't know how to play..... What can I expect from a tryout?? Is it important to know the rules, mechanics, etc?? Or they will just teach me??

Unless you have some spectacular skill that will allow you to overcome your lack of knowledge and experience, I am afraid you are destined for Junior Varsity at best.

If you don't know the rules of soccer, it would be best for you to start at the JV level.  Work hard for a year, learn the game, and then try again in a year.
