Soccer tryouts nervous?

well i play soccer and dont consider my self really god but im not bad either i play whith my friends almost everyday. about a month ago i decided to try out for a competitive club alot of my friends play at and i went to 2 tryouts and know for sure tht i did not impress the coach so i just didnt go anymore i was supposly tring ot for fun because i was going on vacation over the summer and wasnt going to be able to go to a few tournaments, but now i feel tht the coach thinks i suck or sumthing everytime i tryout for something or someone else is observing me i get nervous and dont do very good also some kids from the team were pretty sure i was going to make it bcuz they said ui was better then most in there team ,,, how can i control this nervousness???

  1. oh well its ok to be nervous but.. before you tryout think of what you are goin to do... and relax...

    once you start to play or tryout just focus on that... and everything wont matter trust me it works i have tried it...


  2. lol.. im not laffin at yuh, cept that this sounds a lot like me.

    well, i have tryouts this saturday. What i like to do is listen to my ipod, then i just lay down and think of all the tricks i know how to do. I dream of what how i could play the girls on the opponent side. I also like to watch the best plays on youtube.It makes me feel coffident and knowing that i could do that. So when i get to try outs that day i just start thinking about all of that. It helps me not get nervous. becuase of the cofidence i was building inside me.

    i know it sounds kinda corny but it actually helps !

  3. Before you play just take 5 minutes of solitude. Think about how you are going to play and and what you are going to do during the game, see yourself doing a certain move or something like that. Trust me, try this and see how you play.
