France international Marvin Martin has seen a rapid rise in his profile in the last few months. The 23-year-old midfielder is currently on the books of Ligue 1 side Sochaux Montbéliard.
The Frenchman turned out to be the revelation of the season in the 2010/2011 Ligue 1 campaign. With 17 assists, Martin was Ligue 1’s top assist provider and was an integral part of the Les Lionceaux side that finished fifth in the league standings last season.

Though the Sochaux direction are reluctant in letting go of their prized asset, it seems that the youngster will be headed for an exit from the club this summer.
Reports in French media now suggest that Martin has now admitted of his desire to leave the club amid strong interest from ambitious Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
While talking to RMC, Martin said, “I think there are proposals (for a move) but I’m not getting these things in my head. For 10 years, I have been at Sochaux. For my progress and future, it is perhaps time for me to leave. We will see what happens and I will say positive no matter what happens.”
While talking about Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in him, the 23-year-old said, “PSG is a great club and among the best. The club is under reconstruction and wants to do big things.”
However, the youngster ruled out the possibility of moving abroad this summer and said that he wants to stay in France even if he does leave Sochaux.
