Social, Political, Subsistence differences between the MAYA and INCA EMPIRES?

  1. The Inca were a fully fledged Empire, The Maya were more of a federation of people who lived int he same region and shared a similar culture. The Maya were by no means a single entity under the control of a King. Each Mayan city tended to have its own Ruler. The Inca more more expansionist, and warlike, while the Maya focused more on trade (although they were by no means peaceful). Each had different gods/beliefs. They each had different agricultural methods as well, the Mayan were more located int he Lowland region, which was suitable for different crops than the Highlands which the Inca Inhabited. The Mayan were also more concerned culturaly with Astrology, their building styles were different.

    Anyway there are vast differences between these two cultures. These are just some ideas you could follow up on if you wanted. I hope it helps.

  3. They died out because of different diseases. The Mayas got Mayolitis and the Incas got Incaserated.
