I've been having panic attacks for years now and for the past 2 its turned into Agoraphobia. I do not like the thought of taking perscription meds due to the horrible side effects they have. My question is do you know any natural therapies that will help? What do you do if you suffer like me?

  1. Go vegetarian/vegan.Fast,throw out most pills.

  2. Yes, you should ask your therapist to help you do mental exercises to help you ease your anxiety.

Medication is good, but you need to work on behavior techniques.

  3. I felt like you for a long time.  I've been dealing with anxiety issues for basically my whole life.   I am not crazy, and neither are you.  It's a torture that people do not understand unless they themselves have been through it.  I  lived for about 26 years with no medication and felt that I had a control over it.   Recently something kinda snapped and I realized I could no longer live without some kind of medical help.  I am currenlty taking an anti anxiety med and I don't want to say I feel wonderful,,,but more importantly I feel normal.  In any case I don't have the answers, I just want you to know that you are not alone.  and, I hope that you find peace of mind and can move on and lead a productive life.

  4. oh I have both of those, the only thing that has helped me is Klonopin and Ativan. Also coupled with therapy, I know you don't want to take meds, but hon, there was no help for me before this and now I am able to get going with my life. Nothing else helped and it just got worse and worse, I couldn't even check my mail, I couldn't go to the store with out a walkie talkie . I know where you are and where you're going and with out the right help, you'll be a prisioner of your own self for the rest of your life. Please seek real help.
