- almost 62 % of all marriages are divorced within the first year

- 33 % of all marriages are divorced within the first 3 years

- child birth went down to 0.9 children per married couple

well of course, rednecks or hillbillies also live in austria, but there are only just a few ;)

Austria is still a very family oriented country, so you will often find 3 generations in the same household. It has been a secular country since 17oo's so all marriages are civil although you can still be blessed in Church.
