Social Security Card Name Change?

I just got married and wanted to know if i have to go to the actual office and change my lastname or can i do it by mail?? but then again I would have to show proof of the marriage right

Yes you need to show proof of marriage.

You can get an application and fill it out and you have to mail the Original Marriage License and your Original Driver's License in...They will mail it back to you , but if you are close I would just go by the office.
