I have lost my ss card. Is there a way to get a new one with out having to go the social security building?

  1. Probably not, as you will have to show proof of identity, usually your driver's license, and original birth certificate. If you are naturalized, also bring your naturalization document for proof of citizenship.


  2. You can obtain a replacement by mail but you have to have supporting documents.  I have  attached the link to show you everything you need to know.  Good Luck.

    You will need to send in a copy of a photo id and a certified copy of your birth certificate.

  4. Sure, you can do it by mail.  But you have to copy your valid id, to prove you are who you say you are.
