Okay, so help me out here -

For school, I need to do a collage on

"prejudice, social codes, and/or social actions".

I know what those mean,

but how can I interpret them in pictures?

Examples?

  1. That's an excellent assignment ... I hope I can encourage some thoughts with my comments.  Please know that all my suggestions are related to images:

    (1) Prejudice:

         The Crucifixion of Jesus

         The Confederate Flag

         The Aunt Jamima pancake box

The Interment of Japanese-Americans in February 1942

         The Burning of a cross

The KKK in their white hooded garb

The infamous sign over the Auschwicz concentration camp

         Hitler

         American prisons

    (2) Social Codes

To show "empathy," look for a firefighter, EMT, Good Samaritan helping another

To show "respect," look for a student -and/or perhaps a professional athlete saluting the flag (or the coffins of soldiers that are flag-draped)

To show "selflessness," look for a stranger giving money or food to the homeless

To show "rules, policies, laws," look for a pic of a courtroom, or, perhaps a pic of lady justice (I provided a link below for that particular image)

To show "religious tolerence" assemble images that clearly identify different religions (e.g. a Jew with the Star of David or a Yarmulke [covering for the male's head]; or a Muslim woman in proper hijab)

    (3) Social Actions

This should be a bit easier ... look for images such as parades, protests, petitions, etc.

    Have fun -and good luck!
