Social science degree/career/schools?

I am going to college next semester and and after a semester at a community college to save money I plan on transfering to a university

I need to decide on a degree and university before this semester i want to major in a social science because I have always loved cultures, history, religions, art and music so a degree in social science really suits me

I am considering anthropology but it is difficult to major in anthropology with out teaching as your primary career and it has extremely modest pay in many situations without a phd

here are my questions

What careers do social science degrees offer?

what are the best social science degrees?

what are some good colleges for social science degrees?

  1. I'm also working on my social sciences degree. My major is sociology. I plan on going to George Mason University after I finish up community college because they have a good social sciences program (anthropology, economics, government/political science, mass communications, psychology, social work, and sociology<33 )

So...I would obviously recommend GMU for college...but I'm a bit biased.

I don't know much about anthropology majors, but sociology majors can have jobs in human services, many government jobs, teaching, HR for different corporations, etc. It really is an interesting topic. Wikipedia it sometime and see if it suits you.
