what are the contempoary issues in social science that can be placed in the context of health?

One is regarding the ethics of assisted suicide for terminally ill patients.  Many people believe that euthanasia should be legal, but it is not.  In other words, why is it considered humane to put a suffering animal out of its misery, but not a person?  Also, is there a basic human right to health care or health insurance?  If so, at what levels?  Medical research is another.  Is it ethical to do blind studies of potentially beneficial medications?  You can also examine the politics and economics of the prescription medication issue.
