Social shyness problem?

I have been shy since I could remember. Are there ways to reduce shyness and anxiety without the use of medication. Depression runs through my family and makes people think i'm always mad and don't want to communicate. Any help please?

  1. Do you want to meet new people?  Do you want to experience new things?  Than you have to break out of your shell.  Your fear of being rejected is the only thing that is holding you back from being you.  Are you afraid that if you act like yourself, people won't like you?  There's nothing to be afraid of as long as your you.  And if people don't enjoy being around you, that's their loss.


  2. Do not mope or sulk in public, and do not expect to get attention for feeling bad.  You have to make an effort to talk to people with a positive attitude.  A lot of people have shyness problems, but shyness can be 100% cured.  Force yourself to talk to people everywhere you go and slowly you will open up.
