Social studies project?

Ok so I'm doing a project for social studies and i need a current world issue that is not greatly publicized.

Also if you have any Websites or you yourself have experienced or work to prevent this please mention this.

The last horse Slater house was close down in the USA in 2007.  Horses from the US are being sent to Canada and Mexico to be killed and packaged.

Most Americans don't eat horse meat because they see horses as pets and they think it's grows.  Americans usually eat lots of cow meat.

Lots of countries all over the world still eat horse meat and they don't see a difference from that and cow meat.  It's mostly depends on your aptitude towards the animal.  Like how Hindu people think we're sick for eating cows.
