  1. I just finished my masters in social work and I would guess that 50% of my fellow students were over the age of 40.  It is never to late and social work is such a rewarding field!


  2. Not to late at all. In fact you don't have to stop at assistant, but can easily become a full blown social worker even after 50. Welfare departments across the USA hire all ages. Why do you think it could be too late? You could be 105 and still do social work anywhere!!...

  3. definately not.  Age is irrelevant.  Why be an assistant? retrain to do Social work if that is your thing.  Age is just a number and think how many years you have left until retirement.
