Socially Inexperienced, am I weird?

In school alot of people communicate VIA Text Messages, Myspace, And AIM. I don't. I don't even understand why this is done. I don't understand alot about American Teenage Culture. am I weird for not understanding American Teenage Culture despite the fact I'm an American Teenager?

I dated a guy that didn't do anything of that stuff because he said it wasn't personable and just a waste of time.  I actually admired this because he went out of his way to see his friends and talk with them in person.  I think our society can be pretty ballsy when behind a computer or phone but try and say those same things to someone's face and they all act like cowards.  It's being lazy, but it's also really quick.  If it's not for you, that's ok. You probably just have better people skills than most.

na you're not weird. i reckon just more mature than others your age. myspace? and aim? typical teenager stuff. they'll grow out of them.

Don't think of yourself as weird, consider yourself unique!  If you are internet savvy (for research, information, etc.) and can send an email, don't sweat it!  There is a lot of time (and money) wasted on the things you mentioned.  Hopefully you have a full life, friends, etc.  So go forth and be your own person!
