  1. It's mainly because God did not create denominations in the first place. These are man-made institutions that mainly serve human interests at the expense of God's Biblical truth. People then make cjoices as to which one to join, based on their personal preferances, not according to what God expects from vs what the particular denomination believes.

Jesus established only one church, and that is His church, not the ones that belong to their human founders.
So,if we all belonged to that one church, no one would need to drive or walk for a long distance simply because they are looking for "their" church.

Second, it is evident that most denominations do not preach/teach the true Gospel, but mix it with their traditions (syncretism). They also selectively preach what the majority want to hear - and also seek to keep their jobs by not offending te employer. So, some honest members end up leaving to search for the missing Biblical truth.

Third, more and more people are seeking to fullfil physical, material needs and would go after churches that promise to deliver these needs and also adopting a more liberal/circular stance when it comes to certain practices. This often happens at the expense of God's true Gospel as many of these churches are fly-by-night, false disciples that are led by people that see a quick way to make money for themselves by ripping off ignorant people. This in no way suggests that material needs are not important, but the point is that God says we should earnestly seek Him first.
