Sociology Jobs .... ?

Question

I'm thinking about taking sociology classes in highschool and when I go into university, it's something that I am interested in pursuing in the future.

I am 13 right now, and the subject of sociology has always interested me, mainly because my dad has a degree in it and he knows alot about people and the human behavior and such.

I would like to know what kind of jobs i could get if i take such classes in highschool and university.

And please don't say that I am too young to decide what kind of job I want when i am older, it would just be a waste of my time, and yours, because i will not give you best answer.

If i do say so myself, my maturity level (in my opinion) above average for my age, and I believe I'm positive about what I want to be in my future.

I was a Psych major and know a lot of Sociology majors

who all seem to be involved in the IT field or working in comp. related jobs. Unless you plan to get a Masters or Ph.D I'd consider something else.

jury consultant

human resources

marketing

youth counseling

occupational therapist

US census bureau (statistics)

police, fbi......etc..

there are so many careers you can choose studying sociology, once you have determined what kind of people you would like to work with, then you can also choose a minor, example would be: if you would like to work with the fbi, you can minor in criminal justice courses and psychiatry. most people don't know exactly what they want to minor in until about their junior year in college. but not everyone is the same. i wish you lots of luck and glad to hear that you are interested in this field, i myself got a degree in sociology and criminal justice. it is a great field to work.

ps....you are not too young to decide, i decided when i was 12!!!
