How would you explain conflict theory in the story of "Angela's Ashes?"

hello. I remember 'Angela's Ashes', a powerful story. The fellow had much difficulty with carrying her ashes to the proper place, for burial. (I think I'm correct). He/she were in America, but bloodwise from Ireland. something/someone 'dead' is a difficult situation to have. How to end, where to end the situation? <gasp> for me, I was there when MY mother died, and still have NOT wept. curious, this is.
