  1. Go to any college website as sociology is a pretty commonly offered degree.

You have to complete your general education requirements, then you'll take classes like research methods in sociology, drugs and violence, deviant behavior, social psychology, statistics...you choose some of the electives.

  2. yeah, 120 total credits and a minor.  I'm sure there are a lot of statistics classes and probably field research requirements.

  3. Whoever tells you theyre easy to get into doesn't have a clue, my course was 250 ucas points and I only managed to scrape through because I got two A grades at A2 level.

A sociology a level helps obviously, without that other people will be miles in front of you and first year ba stuff isn't exactly easy going if you havent touched on it before - lecturers tend to gradually introduce concepts of philosophy, anthropology, politics and gender studies into the subject and unless you're already familiar you'll lag. Moreover, you generally need a percentage of over 65% average at 2-1 level to get into an ma, or over 70% to get into an ma of social research.

In order to get a batchelors degree you need to take 6 modules a year, totalling 8 thousand words each in written work for two years, so thats 48,000 words per year marked - Then in your final year 5 8 thousand word modules, either broke into two essays or one essay and an exam and a dissertation of about 12,000 words, my ba dissertation was a double module and so had 25,000 words.

It's not easy by a long shot, not if you actually want a decent grade.
