Sociology class essay help?

Question

I have to write an essay that compares and contrasts the components of culture for two different groups.

What are some groups that would fit in well here, and would work well for an essay? I am kind of stuck here.

you could perhaps talk about hispanic vs. american and how hispanic cultures are more family oriented...much less likely to put their elderly into a home...etc.

Well, the Pope came to the USA yesterday, Christian, Catholic.

The Polygamist Sect, Christian, separated from the Mormon Church, went to court yesterday over custody of their children.. That would be a great comparison and there is a lot of material on the web to research. Good Luck!

I am always fascinated by the differences between Eastern and Western cultures.  Perhaps you might try to compare and contrast Japanese culture to American culture?
