Sociology dissertation help? I need a theory or concept to concentrate on.?

The basic jist of my discussion topic is:

What are the structural constraints that make it diffficult for teachers to respond to immigrent kids and their needs?

My question is what would be a good theory or theorist to use and test? I was thinking maybe bourdieus theory on social cultural capital but how could I link it?

Or maybe Symbolic Interaction or exchange theory or labeling?

Any other theory would be great.

Please help me I am really stuck on this one! I dont know which would be best if any. Does anyone have any suggestions?

To help you with this, I need more info. When you say "structural constraints" what are you looking at?  Can you give me some examples?

I used this when research my dissertation, they have loads of examples which may help you and I think they have sociology dissertation examples for you to read and use as research.

Make up your own theory.  The people that thought up those theories needed a link as well.
