Sociology exam!?

ok on tuesday i have my 1st as level exam and it sociology and it the research methid ppaer, can any one please help by telling me what positivist and interprivits views are.

positivists use quantitative (numerical data) such as questionnaire and official stats, this is because they can find correlations and establish laws of human behavior. they believe that institutions can shape behavior, they claim that sociology is a science and can therefore everything can be measured- functionalists, marxist and the new right tend to be positivists.

interprivists or social action theory prefer qualitative data so use methods such as participant observation, unstructured interviews, they are interested in the thoughts, feelings ad attitudes of an individual. finaly they believe that you socialy construct your own reality.
