What event let you know that you (and your family) were of higher or lower social class than your friends or the people around you? Do you remember what that felt like?

  1. Social class has never been important to me .  I am what I am .  I never cared about keeping up with the Joneses .  I care about what I have . But I couldn't care less about what other people have .  I've known rich , poor and everything in between .

I never understood why people in this country would be so concerned over this.

  2. I remember my friends getting name brand clothes and how cool they thought they were and I would get Kmart lower class clothes... I really didn't care until they started mentioning it to me... and telling me their stuff was cooler... but it's okay... whatever

  3. I was always the rich kid, but my family gave and gave to the poor.  I loved being rich just so I could help others.  A few days before Christmas  a lady was in our store looking at  a beautiful dinning room suite.  My dad said, "Do you want me to load that up for you?"   To which she replied, " Oh, Mr. Willie, I'd like to but I can't afford it"   Well,  a few days before  Christmas  daddy loaded up the table, eight chairs, buffet and china cabinet and took it to her house, unloaded it and said, "Merry Christmas Ms. Lulu Bell".  I was privileged to be with him and see what giving does.   That's just one story of many and I continue to do the same, its mandatory for me.
