Ok we're learning about the functionalist and conflict types of ppl. but my question is how do u think the functionalist would view crime? and how the conflict ppl view there perspective in crime differently than the functionalist???

  1. fuctionalists view crime as functional to a society, they would say crime has a function as does the institutions that deal with crimes.   Conflict perspectives would not agree and believe anyone who commits a crime should be punished whatever the reason for it.  They would look at the offender not society .
