Sociology relevant?

Is it necessary to study society and its problems? Do governments find sociological research useful when they create their policies?

not really since sociology is just how people view society and what their opinion is however i think the social demcrats have made an impact since they influenced alot of labours policies on education and femenists have made equality a bit better.

Politics are not the only way to use sociology, studying this class helps you find who you are/can be and how your gender/race/class can affect you in the futer. It can also show you the rates of poverty there are in the world and how family's and marriages work around the world. I think its a very enjoyable class i learned alot from it this year
