Socket 478 or 775 wich is better.?

wich is better socket 478 or 775? wich one is newer ? wich one would you rather have.?

Lol I would love to see an AMD go into a 775 socket!

Socket 478 is Intels older socket supporting P4, the Newer 775 sockets supports the Cord 2 Duo line.

Soon Intel will be changing sockets and 775 will be obsolete.

478 is older, which basically supported single core pentium 4 and celron. 775 is newer and supports newer single core and dual core(Pentium 4 HT, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo and newer Celron D)

socket 478 is used by P4 while socket 775 supports all new intel and AMD products that are coming out.  Therefore definitely socket 775

It depends on what kind of processor you want find it and see what socket you need to use it. I know 775 is intel.
