Soda Blasting my rims...?

Someone suggested to me to clean and make my rims shiny I could soda blast them... how do I go about this and what are the pros and cons?

  1. Soda blasting won't touch it. Sure it will clean them, But I don't think it will polish them. We have cars soda blasted all the time and the steel does not come back shiny. I would get a good aluminum cleaner like Mothers.

    Your wheels might also be clear coated. The soda blasting will remove the clear coat and then you will be spending a lot of time trying to keep them shiny.


  2. The soda blasting will only remove the clear coat so you can polish them with an aluminum polish.. they will look like new if they are not too badly tarnished. get them re clear coated so it will maintain the shine.
