Soda Fountains - Soda? or CO2?

I love soda water, by itself, in wine, with vodka etc - not sparkling water, or carbonated water but soda water you buy in the shops containing on the ingredients - carbonated water, sodium bicarbonate and salt. Will a soda fountain provide the same stuff ? or do they work like soda streams (just CO2)?

and where can I get one?

Thanks

Rachel

  1. You need to buy bottled soda water, all fountains are carbonated water

  2. I am not sure the taste difference that you are experiencing but they (carbonated water, soda water, sparkling water) are all different names for the same thing.  Carbonated water is made bubbly by infusing it with CO2.  The addition of salt or minerals is pretty typical for all bottled waters...

  3. I believe you're talking about Club Soda. You can buy that at any grocery store.

  4. All fizzy drinks are made so by the use of CO2 except the drinks that are self-fizzy by the action of yeast and sugars (sparkling wines etc), but that STILL produces carbon dioxide!  !  !
